Since the days of the first store on Forest Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa, Critchett's has had a love for the home organ business. Today with four locations in Iowa, Critchett's Lowrey Organ Centers is the Offical Lowrey Dealer for the state of Iowa. Critchett's also has locations in Waterloo, Iowa, Lincoln Nebraska and Omaha Nebraska. Each location has a full display of the Lowrey product line and each offers the Lowrey Quick Start Program
Critchett History
Critchett Piano Company, founded in 1922 by Bert Critchett, was first located at 1409 Forest Avenue om Des Moines, Iowa. In 1971, grandson, Dave Brown and his mother, Lois Critchett Brown, bought the company. Dave, Bert’s grandson, became sole owner when his mother died 7 years later. The piano company moved from Forest Avenue to Hickman Avenue in 1968; in 2004 it moved to Urbandale where it resides now.

Just one example of Lowrey's numerous E-Z Play innovations is the way in which each key on the organ is labeled to match the music in Lowrey Magic, so that finding the right note to play is easy. The color-coded note bar above the music matches the color of the key to play on your Lowrey, which will magically play a full-sounding chord, using just one finger.
